Winter Room Rentals
(16 September through 14 May of the following year)
Room Description.
These are bed and breakfast rooms with rates of $129-$139 per night with
breakfast during the summer season (15May through 15September.) In the winter,
these same rooms are rented out long term from 16September through 14May.
The available rooms are the Walrus Room and the Deck Rooms. All rooms have their
own
private bath, queen-sized beds with “memory foam” mattress, a writing desk,
alarm clock,
closet, flat-screen TV with cable and DVD player. DSL internet and wireless
connection is
strong throughout the house. A computer is available in the dining area.
Location.
It is located at the south end of “C” Street, South Anchorage, in a forested
2-acre spread where the moose give birth to their young. The country road has a
typical traffic count of about 12 a day, yet Costco is usually only 5 minutes
away, the new Target 3 minutes away, and the Dimond Mall Center and Wal-Mart,
Sam's Club are typically only 7 minutes away.
Availability.
Available only in the Fall/Winter/Spring from 16September through 14May of the
following year. Minimum lease period is 3 months, ending not later than 14May.
Rates. $800/month for a single occupant. $1,2o0/month for couples (maximum room
capacity is 2 adults.) [ Special for 2-weeks off/2-weeks on slope workers:
take $10o off the usual rates! ]
Rules of the house.
Breakfast not included, light cooking at kitchen allowed; no smoking, heavy
drinking, wild parties or illegal drugs allowed. Each room has 2 loads per week
privilege at the laundry room. Silence expected at 10pm; number and frequency of
visitors are restricted – in some cases advance notice to the house manager is
required.
